Or can tell me the part numbers the belong here?

The parts that are missing where voided for the 06ZX25001. Which amp do you have.KX or ZX? Does the amp have a fan? Post pics of amp.

I will take pics of the amp as soon as I get back home ..

The amp does not have a fan ..

The model is ZX2500.1 is the ZX version..

So the blank spots in he driverboard should be this way ?

The missing circuit is the fan driver circuit that was for the 05KX25001.

This Amps kicks on and off and draws excessive current all output transistors test good ..

What are the 2 IC's that are defaced in this amp ? Anyone know the part numbers

The 14 pin is an LM361 comparator and the 16 pin is a 14060 binary counter

If one of those is defective would that cause the amp to cycle in and out of protection and draw excessive current ?

Possibly,but check all outputs first with an ohmmeter. If no obvious shorts check the DC Voltage around the two IC'S you mentioned. Negative Speaker terminal can be used as reference.

Do you have an ocilliscope?

With the oscope look at Pin 4 ,9 and 11 of the LM361. Triangle wave on pin 4 and rectangular pulse on 9 and 11

Ok I had my Amps mixed up .. The 2500.1 doesn't have the IC's

At least I do not see them on the board ..

I found the problem someone put counterfeit IRF3205's in the amp they test fine but will not work in this amp as soon as I took them out and stiuck 4 in the amp it will power up and idle fine ..

I have to order new 3205's once they come in and I put them
In the amp if I have anymore problems I will post ..

Ok replaced the power supply fets and the outputs ..

When I power it up R772 burns the resistor sits in from of the regulator

Anyone have any ideas in why R772 burns ?

If I take the LM7912 out the resistor is fine and doesn't burn if I leave the 7912 in the resistor burns every time ..

I checked the components in that area all test good ..

Anyone have any ideas ?

You may have a shorted IC, look at the LM361 and 14060 to start

One thing you might won't to try is removing the preamp board first after replacing resistor and LM7912.Apply power and check regulated voltage. This will isolate problem to main board or preamp board

Removed the preamp board ..

Replaced the 7912 and the resistor same problem still burns the resistor and no -12 volts

If you insert a limiter like an 1156 12v lamp between the regulator output and the board, you may be able to find something being powered by the regulator getting hot.
