Default Audiopipe aqx3500.1

Have this amp that came in, amp has been repaired by someone else. All fets have been replaced and I see the FDA24N40 have been replaced by IRFP460
On power up output fets get hot quick on further investigation I found a faulty 074 replaced it and still output fets get hot, replaced driver board and still have the problem of outputs getting hot.

The 460 may be too hard to drive without changing the gate resistors. Even then, they may be too hard for the IC to drive. The American Bass amp VFL450.1 (slightly larger than the amp you have) uses the 24N40F (20 total) and they run cool with 39 ohm gate resistors.

Remember to buy the FETs from a reputable distributor.
