How to connect earbuds to TV speaker terminals??

I found this thread while searching for a way to hook my 16 ohm earbuds to the 8-ohm stereo speaker terminals.

Can someone please tell me how to modify the advice on this thread to achieve this?

The TV speaker terminals are R (- and +) and L (- and +).
