Red board

Anyone know the part# for Q3 and Q4 ?

I don't think the board colors are indicative of the year model. The board number is what you need to post. I've attached a photo from a red board. Is it the same as yours? MMBT3904 and MMBT3906.

I have seen them with red boards, green boards, and blue boards. Didn't really pay attention to the revision letters on each color.

If i used the IRFP064n in the power supply do i need to change the gate resistor?

The 22 ohm resistors are OK.

After i install FETS on the mesha the thermistor is no where to be found.
Can i used the thermistor like the one in the T400-4 in this amp?

You can use a different style thermistor but you need to know the value. On the diagram, there are two thermistors on the MEHSA strips and a third one elsewhere. The 3rd one has a different pulldown resistor value so the thermistors on the MEHSA insulators may not be the same as the standard 10k thermistors Rockford uses. Contact Rockford to get the value (not on the diagram) or measure the other MEHSA mounted thermistor in the amp (would require breaking the connection to the rest of the protection circuit). The thermistor must be at room temperature to measure its value.

The fan in this amp does not work. I get 13v on the terminals when i unplug the fan.When it is plug in I get 0v.The fan is good i tried it on the B+

The fan is thermally controlled. It only runs when the amp is hot. It's supposed to start at 60C.

I want to bypass that thermal circuit and have the fan working as soon as remoter is applied.
where can i connect it?

If you connect U10 pin 4 to the 5v side of R90, does that allow the fan to power on/off with the remote?

yes fan power on but amp thermal light is on,also cause no audio out.

I have a 7.3k thermistor in place of the one that was missing.maybe the value is causing that?

Does the amp work properly without the jumper?

If so, what is the PC number on your board?

yes it works ok without the jumper.

I think you're going to have to lift terminal 4 and attach the jumper from the lifted terminal to the 5v side of the resistor.

It works but fan is only getting 5.3 volts

That's for low speed operation That's plenty to keep the amp cool. To make it run at full speed, you would have to do the same thing for pin 10 and R96. Or connect a jumper between the collector and emitter of Q34.
