I know everyone wants to use car subs in their home, but this is a little backwards...
My parents van has a pair of 5.25" upward-firing dash mounted drivers. They are the original drivers that came with the car. Needless to say, they sound like crap. So I want to replace them, but I don't want to spend barely any money. They fit into a 5.25" hole with a depth of about 3".
I had an idea of using some TangBand 3" or 4" fullranges. So what I want to know is... How the hell am I supposed to model the response? Can I? Can I build some tiny ported enclosures for the w3-871s?
Anybody done anything like this? Any suggestions?
Any ideas will be appreciated.
