Default Need help with Clarion apx 320.2 repair

Amp was dead, found 6800uf power supply cap and all output transistors deffective, replaced all and one channel is working perfectly, the other is distorded and 22 ohm resistor from the photo overheats when I increase volume. If it works on high volume/power it starts smoking and burns out in matter of seconds.
I'm not sure if it's a tip 31/32/35/36 not beeing properly paired because I don't have any left to try or it's something else that causes distortion and 22ohm resistor overheating.
If someone could help me with this that would be great and appreciated .

If that resistor is burning, it's likely that the TIP35 is open base to emitter.

I will check that... thanks for hint.
Just wondering, if TIP35C was open base to emiter, would it be possible for that channel to work, because it does... with full power but very noticeable distortion and 22ohm res overheating ...

Thanks again.

I would expect the top half of the waveform to be badly clipped at higher power.

It's distorted even at low power. So does it mean that amp can produce sound with tip35 BE open ?

Perry. I checked what you suggested and you were right. Base leg on 35c was broken, almost invisible for the eye but broken. Soldered it and works like a charm.

Thanks very much for your help.
