Default SS 500sx repair

hi.

i recently got hold of one defect 500sx amp. iv'e been doing some research and looked inside, but my troubleshooting skills arent the best.

i've come this far.

1: burned out recistanse R186(need info)
2: burned out Q46(need info)
3: have to replace; U5, U6, D13, D19, Q39-42, and a bunch of ST9714/18 transistors.(need some input on where to buy and are there replacements parts)

the only schematic i have is for the 500, not the sx.

I don't have the SX diagram. The S version...

1: 10 ohm 1 watt
2: MPS8599
3: Farnell if it's available in your area and if no one has a better suggestion.

TIP107

TIP107 - STMICROELECTRONICS - TRANS PNP DARL 100V 8A TO-220 | Farnell Norge

Farnell did not have this in the webshop (FEN16DT) i know Ebay has.

have i got the right values?

The NDP7050(TIP) have a number in addition, they are as follows: 9712(TIP102?) , 9714(TIP107?) and 9718( ?? ). what does these numbers mean?

when i got these parts sorted out im gonna order the FEB pcb's and the replacement switches. then i should be ready to test:-)?

These were turned on to me by 1moreamp...
The NDP7050 MosFets work fine but these have a higher temp rating and I use them all the time...
Compare the two your self...

The other parts you listed look correct... I would replace those old electrolytic capacitors, any one in the audio signal path I used audio grade type and I used low ESR type for the rest. On the front end boards I replaced those 22uf/16v caps and on the pre-amp board I replaced those SMD electrolytics...every one I've removed had leaked and also there is another board for the mute and clip function that has SMD electolytics and again every one I've pulled had leaked. Its a lot of work but it sure made these sound excellent again.

Oh and its not fun but you might get lucky getting close enough matched Darlington pairs. To check the bias for each output pair, measure the voltage from emitter pin (TIP102) to emitter pin (TIP107) for that pair. NOT across just one resistor. You want to measure across BOTH emitter resistors. See attached. If you find a pair that is higher than the rest, then measure across each emitter resistor to find the current hog and replace that device. The one with the higher voltage is the current hog. Also, check the emitter resistors too. They can open up on you. I seem to remember about 2 to 2.2 mv across both and about 1 to 1.1 mv across each resister.
Don't forget the NE 5532, TL072 and TL074 opamps....I've put new ones in mine and it straightened out sound issues in some of these. And don't forget the 2SA1562 and the 2N2222 trans in the power supply section. Cant think anymore

One more thing...IMO I try not to replace any of the TIP102, 107 pairs if possible, if they work it seems that they were matched well.

I believe I have all the parts in stock, (at least all the TO220 components used on that ss). If you can't find it PM or email me.
