rockford fnq1401 tweeter replacment

i have a set of rockford comps in my car , sadly a tweeter has failed and rockford tell me these are no longer stocked

any suggestions on how to match something in that will sound as nice , ive just tried a set of carpower ones and they dont sound so nice

or anyone got one laying around ?

If the tweeter's voice coil is open, disconnect the crossover from the amplifier. Driving a 12dB/oct crossover with an open output can damage the amp and possibly the crossover.

ive fitted some other brand tweets for now...but they dont sound as nice as the rockys

would it be something someone could repair ?

also i notice a few sellers have a fnq 2401 for sale ..sounds kinda similar spec but i cant find the rf tech sheet

anyone know if the 2401 is the same thing with a new grille or something..or is it totaly differant

thanks perry ...i searched for a while to find those links , may i ask how you found them incase i ever need to find any more stuff

its nice they keep older stuff online

any thoughts on those 2 ...the specs sound like they maybe the same item apart from the looks

I have the FNQ1401 component set back from somewhere in 2003? Anyways one of my tweeters died also. I have 1 good 1 and 1 bad one. Did you get a new set? Or do you want to work out a trade since we both have 1 good tweeter
