Clarion DPX1000.2
Amp powers up and idles perfectly..
I have both + - 15 volts on the op-amps.. Amp produces both + - 47 volts of rail.. Amp has no output.. Any ideas?? |
Does it use a relay to engage audio to the output terminals?
Can you post up a pic of the board? |
No relay in this amp But it uses the Tripath board..
I will try to get a pic up in a lil bit |
R46 commonly opened or came unsoldered.
|
R46 Measures 3.4 ohms out of the board..
I cleaned both sets of pads and soldered the resistor back in from the top and bottom sides.. Still no output.. |
It's possible that the module has failed.
I think that the resistor is supposed to be a 1.1 ohm. I don't know if the difference in resistance will prevent it from producing audio. |
I i measure directly across the resistor i get 0 volts...
If i place the black probe on the ground termianl and measure 1 side at a time i get -47.1 volts.. I also get -47.1 volts on Pin 19 of the Tripath chip.. Is that voltge correct or should it be near 12 volts? |
I think it should be 12v above the negative rail.
|
Guess i will trace the circuit back and see what i can find
If all tests good and the Chip is defective the amp is unrepaiable ? |
The ICs have been difficult to find in the past but I haven't looked for any in a few years.
