Default Alpine MRV1507

I'm hoping someone might have a schematic or service manual for this amp.

I have the power supply up and running, but I'm still having an issue with one of the output channels. I'm reading ~34 ohms across the gate and source of the 9540's (the pads still read 34 ohms when I removed the fets). I would love to reference a schematic right now. I'm having a hard time trying to follow the circuit thanks to the black epoxy board/ smeared silicone for the caps/ and jumpers everywhere :-(

Anyway, thanks in advance!

Do you read 34 ohms across all gate/source connections for all of the 9540s?

Are you sure that you don't have any solder bridges?

Email me if you want the manual.

Damn. Good call. Indeed there was a tiny solder bridge across the jumper for the Source and Gate resistor on the bottom side of the board. Not sure how I didn't see this before.

I'll reinstall the audio board later tonight and keep my fingers crossed.

IRF640 & IRF9640 should be a feasible sub for the outputs correct?

Thanks Perry!

No. They can't handle the current required.

Ok thanks. I have ordered the 540's & 9540's

I've been at this amp for a while now and have discovered that it needed a lot more work than I had first anticipated.

So far I have replaced:

zd608 open
zd609 open
zd604 open
zd605 open

Q617 shorted
Q618 shorted
Q619 shorted
Q620 shorted

Q425 shorted
Q426 shorted

I have been testing the amp with a 2ohm resistor inline w/B+

At this point the amp idles @ ~1.5a with the current limiting resistor. The amp idles @ ~.5a with just the power supply (audio board removed, and NO resistor inline)

Here's my concern:

Q620:
B= 15.43
C= 50.1
E= 14.82

Q619:
B= 22.29
C= 52.3
E= 21.67

ZD608 appears to be out of tolerance.

Diode check=

Forward voltage: .667v
Reverse voltage : 1.99v

With the diode removed from the board it tests fine. But I'm still reading 1.99v across the vias for the diode (this is with the neg prob on the via for the anode) If I reverse the leads, there is no voltage present

The reverse breakdown voltage isn't within tolerance. Replace it.

The new zener did the trick.

I will update when all of the required parts show up to finish the amp

Thanks again!
