This amp had 2 bad output transistors. I pulled them out and it seemed to power on fine. Installed replacements and the blue light had a slight plus. Pulled q4006 and q4005 and everything seems ok ( no more plus) . Currently ALL outputs are not installed.

Since the outputs are removed will my reading from the output drivers be true?

If your only dealing with a couple parts, to get an accurate reading remove them from the circuit to test for leaky or shorted drivers.

Do you know a Irf3414 replacment? I can't even find a data sheet. These are on board locations q4005-q4008.

I got the amp to play now but when I raise the gain it cuts off. I dont hear my power supply buzz as if its under a heavy load.

I replaced all outputs and ic9802. Im not 100% ic9802 was bad. I replaced it a few months ago and can not remember the circumstances.

ive been probing around and in the pop kill circuit q4501 the base gets a reading of 61mv with no input connected. when I do connect a source and increase the volume it increases to 70mv and cuts off.

Any ideas where to check?

I can't edit my last post but I think q4501 might be bad. I'll check it when im home
