Has anyone sourced the bass and treble pots for the punch 150's ?
I have come close. Newark PDB182-K220K-502B and PDB182-K420K-504A. I am not totally sure if they are linear or audio taper pots originally? These also have knurled shafts which are not the standard round/flat shaft. Any help welcome. Thanks Rich |

I don't know what the treble pot is. The bass pot is a reverse log pot, if I remember correctly.

Why would there be a lot of used pots? It seems that they would have to be pulled from amps and most of the amps that used those pots were repairable.

I will call Freemans today. If per chance they do not have any, I will write back. Thanks.

They had alot of amps laying around that were parts amps of amps that needed repair. Jason is a very busy guy. I dont think they were interested in repairing all the amps they received from Rockford when they bought all the old stuff.

If a reliable source for these is found, post the source here. I'm sure that a lot of people will be interested. A couple of friends of mine would likely to be interested.

I tried Jason, very nice guy. I have had dealings with him before, outstanding. But no source for pots. I have heard through other postings on the web that the difference between 4.7K and 5K for the treble would be ok and that 470K vs 500K for the bass would be ok. This opens up alot more options, plus knowing that the bass is rev. log is very helpful. I have another 150 rev K that I can check with multimeter to see if linear or audio taper. The dimensions on the part numbers I gave previously are correct for pc board mount. I just do not like changing to a splined shaft.
Still working on sourcing, on another subject, bening a machinst of 34 yrs. myself and a friend are working on duplication of the original configuration of rockford knobs for 45's,75's,150's. Close but not in production, ( I have to be concerned about copyright infringement etc. Meaning they would not be exact. In the works. I am only in need of one 5K dual gang treble pot for right now. Thanks for the info. Rich |
