Do you mean that the supply was being dragged down from 12v to 0.203v DC?

For the amp to be reliable, you need to replace all of the transistors that were in parallel with the ones that failed. The ones with matching part numbers need to be from the same batch of parts so that they are relatively well matched.

Ok. I will place an order from Digikey for the output transistors and replace them all. I will post the results once I'm done. Thanks Perry.

If the amp is dragging the voltage down on the supply and is wasn't previously doing that, you need to find why it's dragging the voltage down. It's generally due to a shorted diode, shorted power supply FET or a solder bridge.

Of course, it depends on how your supply reacts to an overload. It could be that any load greater than it's rated current will cause it to shut down until the load is completely removed.

Does it drag the supply down before applying remote voltage?

Yes. Even with the remote voltage applied, it still drags down the voltage. I can test the 4 diode transistors between the output transistors and FET transistors. I've already checked the 2 diodes by the B+ and ground inputs.

I'm assuming that you meant 'without' remote voltage applied.

Are you sure that you didn't have the B+ and ground connections reversed?

Yes. I'm sure. With or without remote voltage, I get the same voltage drop which is .203V. Once I remove the B+ or ground lead from the power supply, it immediately goes to 12 Volts.

Is there anyway possible to get the schematics for this amp?

Try contacting Hifonics. It's unlikely that they will release it but you may get lucky.

Ok. I have another question for you Perry. What does the NPN/PNP transistors(2SA1795 & 2SC32258) control when dealing with the FET transistors.
