Measure the DC voltage across pins 1 and 2 from the time that remote is applied and for about another 10 seconds. It should go from about 0v to about 1.2v DC.

For the one that goes from 0 to 1v, measure the voltage on the other side of it. Does it go from about 70v to about 0v?

You should see oscillation on the output transistors when that switches to 0v. Do you see oscillation on the outputs?
Do you see any DC offset after it switches?

Are you getting a preamp level signal to the amplifier section of the amp?
Did you compare it to the sony XM-D400P5?
