Default Rockford Punch 300.4 problem

While listening to the system today all my highs just disappeared. The amp is running front channel and rear channel and all highs are gone. Any ideas what may have happened?

More info please.

Have you verified good ground connection?

Have you verified the fuse from the battery or connection is good which should be tested at the amps power terminals?

Have you verified the led power light is lit and you are getting remote voltage from the head unit to the amp?

The amp is running two pair of rockford power 6x8's(one in each door of a F150 crew cab) the speakers are playing, however the tweeters in none of the speakers are no longer functioning. Thanks for your help.

OK either the tweeters have blown or on some of the power series speakers Rockford had capacitors in line to filter the tweeter. Some power series used the cross over units which had fuses or "lights" if you will that got brighter as the power was inreased to the tweeter and eventually would blow to protect the tweeter.

If you have the crossover boxes check the "light fuse" and if you dont have the cross over boxes check the capcitor on the back of the speaker to see if its blown or has become disconnected.

Would it be common for all 4 tweets to stop at the same time? Listening at above avg. volume but nothing drastic when this occurred.

Have you tried switching the cross overs on the amp from high pass to full range to see if the tweets play again?
