Got one of theese amp in and the power supply fets are burnt..

I have to order new fets gate resistors and drivers for this amp..

Wondering if anything else in the power supply section goes bad like if something common fails in theese amps when the fets blow ??


The output section appears to be fine all outputs tested good..

Sounds like your on the right track. The 3 things you have ordered usually fail together. I would would start by reparing the power supply and go from there.

Anyone have a schematic for this amp ??

Or can anyone tell me what Q17 and Q18 are ?? I know ones is suppose to be a mmbta56 and the other an mmbta06 but both are badly burnt and cant tell which order they go

Theese board locations are for the power supply board

Q17 is marked 2GM=PNP=A56
Q18 is marked 1GM=NPN=A06

Replaced all power supply fets, all drivers for the fets, and all the gate resistors..


I found D36 (BYV27-100) to be defective I also replaced that..


Is there anything else that i should check on the power supply board that usually fails when the fets fail and hat diode fails ?

Put the amp back together and powerd it up The amp has output and produces clean audio...


Does anyone know what theese amps idle at??

This amp is idling around 11 amps of current draw is that normal or do i have another problem somewhere??


Nothing is getting hot when it is idling at 11 amps

I think that is normal, the ones I have had on my power supply seem to draw alot of current at idle. Keep in mind the amount of components this amp has under the hood. Your running alot of fets.
