PPI 350DM problem
 

I just got my PPI dream amp and when I try and power it up on my test bench,it will only turn on once(will not turn on after you shut it off) and has a rythmatic clicking/popping sound with no sound and the low impedence/bridging light is on.This is very depressing of course.I checked a Orion and all is well on the test bench area.Any PPI experts here.

Have you checked the output transistors?

I just got it and took the end cap and bottom cover off but this is no Orion to get at.

I've only worked on one that I can remember and from what I remember, the mechanical design could have been better.

Don't attempt to power it up unless you have the transistors clamped tightly to the heatsink.

If you haven't don't so, read the basic amp repair page, particularly the information in the yellow box near the top of the page.

This one may need a good doctor as I dont have the time for it and would rather someone experienced get it back to new
