I cant think tonight.. Does the 540's go in the negative or positive rail ?

It depends on the amplifier.
If the third leg of the 540 is connected to the speaker terminal, it is powered from the positive rail. If the center leg connects to the speaker terminal, it is powered from the negative rail.
