I recently acquired the noted amp as part of a package deal. $30 for 3 amps, one working Jensen, the SS, and a Targa that may or may not be revivifiable.
Being stuffed in a box, the exact number fails to come to mind right now, but there are at least half (4/8?) of the IRFZ44N devices on the PS side that let the smoke out, and one of those (that I recall) has turned the PCB trace into a blown fuse configuration.
I have not been able to find a schematic as yet, and am still looking.
So besides the obvious mosfets, what are the next obvious parts to check?
Tools: a couple basic DMM, one RadioShack unit that does the usual measurements, and one 7 function that has the hfe tester for transistors.
no parts have yet been swapped or exchanged.
