The rca ground shield legs broke. I repaired them with wire. Now left rear channel when set on HP filter is choppy. On full and LP the channel is fine. Right rear channel is fine on every filter. C

Are you able to source channels 3 &4 from input 1&2? That would eliminate the rca's.
I may have the schematic for that or one that is close. sent from an IRFZ48N

Amp in 4 channel mode RCAs plugged into front the left rear channel still get a choppy signal and can be controlled by the front gain. This is only when set in HP. And only Left Rear channel, the right channel is not affected.

How do you define choppy?
How does the front gain affect the signal? Have you worked the switch back and forth 40-50 times to see if it made a difference?

Choppy, very distorted, like a blown subwoofer that is seized.
Front gain signal increases the volume the last 3/4 but its not really loud. I played with the switch and tried to blow it out. I'm going to get a can or air today. |

Generally, you need a contact cleaner to clean pots and switches. The contaminants typically need some sort of solvent/cleaner/lubricant to be removed.

What do you suggest? I got it to work after playing with it awhile.
