I just got this Coustic Design Reference Amp 514-DR for free from return buyer who always got crap load of stuff from me ,green light comes on but the start pulse is not there .Opened the amp and nothing looks bad all Psu and out fets are good i got low rail Voltage 2 volts couse the the PWM is not starting i got 2.8 volts on leg 12 .My only question is why are 2 empty op amp spots .Am i missing parts or its like this from the factory .I don't wanna take it apart if i need op amps to be ordered

The 505 and the 510 don't need anything on the 8 pin socket near the RCA jacks. I've never seen a 514.

there are two sockets 1 by the rca and 1 in the middle of the board .amp looks like new and I'm almost positive those should be empty ,as i don't see a point to take em out .those amps should be hard to find if Perry haven't seen one

got it running sockets are to be empty .due to the million copper bridges on the board one was loose and had a cold solder joint .reflowed and amp works great .another great US amp saved
