Why can't I get a square wave on MC14060 pin 5 ?

I'm a bit confused by a previous post. Did you replace a 47pf cap with a 0.1uf cap on the crystal?

When you replaced the 4060, did you replace it with a new IC or one pulled from another amp?

Yes because that's all I have on hand does that change anything ? Yes I had replaced MC14060 with a new IC, and another to make sure, because the 1 new IC wasn't giving me output on pin 5 as well with the 2 new IC no output on pin 5. So I know it isn't the MC14060.

The crystal is sensitive to the capacitor value. Try a 47pF if that's what was in that location.

Ok the closest capacitor I found was a 100pf . That helped on pin 9 I have a triangle wave form, this crystal was from another amp , changed out for the original crystal and pin 9 has a square wave form. Pins 10 ,11, 5 do not have anything. When I touch squeeze the crystal I get a square wave form uneven and pins 9,10,11 have pulse too. Bad crystal would this one work ? HWZT-2.00MD ABRACON Resonators . Thank you.

YES YES ! Put 2 100pf caps in series = 47pf and perfect square wave all it was a bad cap lol . Thank you Perry ! Now to put back the MC14060 smd part back in and the LM361smd to what else happens . Thank you once again .
