PEAK PKC0AW 3000w 12vDC/110vAC Power inverter

Has anyone seen or repaired one of these? I've got this one on the bench which powers up straight into protection.

I was able to crack it open. This thing must be kinda dangerous; loaded with 16x 30A fuses. I guess this thing can draw at +-480 Amps!

Is the output supposed to look like this?

yes, that's called a modified sine wave.

unless the inverter is labeled as "true sine wave", that is what you will get.
