Rockford Fosgate Power 351M

When i removed the bottom cover i noticed D1 was unsolderd from the board..

I soldered it back down ..

All outputs, source resistors, and rca shields test fine..

When i power it up it idles perfectly..

I get 0.00 volts across the speaker output terminals

When i connect a speaker to it the amp starts drawing excessive current and the speaker flutters ..

Any ideas where to begin looking?

Have you checked the RCA ground pins to the board to see if they are broken?

D1 will probably need replacing it is the IN4003 correct?

D1 was ok..

I found the problem D7 was defective...

I have had D7 fail before on many amps and the speaker flutters and the amp produced alot of feedback. I usually relace D1 and D7 just for good measure.

Alot of times D7 tends to fail after the ground pins on the RCA plugs has been broken. Maybe just a coincidence not sure.
