amp has burn marks on board at component u30d20a "mospec". The amp, when only b+ and main ground are applied turns on and shows voltage on the remote. . No remote power applied. Amp powers up and power led is green, no protect light. This part is perhaps the neg. rectifier? Here's the readings on that part powered up;

pin #1 .034 volts
pin #2 -105.7 volts
pin #3 .035 volts

i might have factory wave soldering issue. there are many areas that need solder still. ill get u an update when i get it back together. and yes it has audio timwebb. very low power.

is it ok to sub a small 10mf 50volt for a small 10mf 100volt in a class d amp?

top right section of above picture #2. all four caps were folded over and all had one leg each broken off the board. strange. they are all about a half inch tall and a quarter inch diameter. thanks

i have didrect replacement for 2 out of four. the remaining two i only have 100volt ratings not 50volt. all the new ones will fit well.

those should be the voltage regulators. depending how much voltage is on them u might get away with it. but it would be best to use the 100v caps.

well i replaced four caps soldered some connections that looked shady from the top but were actually decent on the bottom. powered up the amp and got a loud pop. now the amp is back to square one but the rail voltage is 1 volt higher. Any takers?

i see no visible signs of damage except the blemish marks around the mospec u30d20a which have been there since i opened it up.
It does show shorted on board between legs 1 and 3. This part has voltages in post #1.

Do you have ±15v on the power supply pins of the op-amps in the preamp section?

Do you have +105v on the center leg of the rectifier next to the one with -105v?

Do you have a scope?

i found a bridged solder gap between the b+ input and the remote turn on. fixed that. now the amp turns on with remote correctly.
Yes I have 105+ and 105-
I do not have a scope and not sure but this has a 16 pin s62525ap

the amp casing shows direct continuity to the b+ terminal, but not main ground

question. when replacing the four caps that were broken surrounding the s62525ap in top right of pic #2, i neglected to note the polarity of the caps. so i did a continuity test and all locations had a black half moon on the board and showed ground. So i installed the caps negative to this position. I would assume that that is correct? Thanks

Clarification...

SG2525AP or SG3525AP most likely.

The second photo has the caps in the bottom left. The first photo has 2 of them in the top right. Refer to them as top or bottom. Are those the caps that you're referring to?

Generally, the capacitor's negative goes to the marking on the board. The positive terminals typically have a square solder pad.
