What kind of noise? Just one thump, or a whine that changes with the engin RPM?
Is this an I pod or phone ?

You can buy ground loop isolators at virtually car audio shop.

its not just 1 thump, its continuous whine...
and its iPhone.

A ground loop isolator will break the loop and, if the iphone doesn't have noise if the charger is disconnected, will stop the noise.

I know that it will solve the problem.Thats why im asking if this transformers will be ok to build the isolator....

I don't think so. Those are RF (Radio Frequency) transformers. The transformers you need will be larger. Likely about 1" cubes (approximately).

Where can i get good transformers for cheap??

TheBaronGroog 25th January 2012 11:36 AM

Off the back of an old stereo ISO cable, black box in the perm supply wire. Go to a scrap yard:)

TheBaronGroog:
He's looking for audio transformers with complete isolation between primary and secondary windings, a 1:1 ratio and suitable for preamp level audio.

thedag:
Is there a reason that you won't simply buy a proper ground loop isolator? By the time that you buy the transformers and audio connectors and pay for shipping on them, you'll end up spending more than the cost of an isolator.
