I got this amp in with all of the power supply fets blown and 3 outputs that were bad..


I replaced the power supply fets and removed all outputs.. Tested for DC on the speaker terminals with all outputs removed i get 0.01 volts ..

So i started putting 2 outputs in at a time.. With 2 outputs in the amp i still get 0.01 volts ...

So i put 2 more outputs in the amp and now i get 40 volts of rail on the output terminals measured directly across the speaker terminals..


Do i need to put all of the outputs in it to see if the DC goes away or do i have another problem ?

If you installed both high-side and low-side FETs, it likely has a defective drive circuit.

Is this a type-2 Class-D? IRF30n20d outputs? Check the MPSAxx BJTs on th driver board. make sure the fan is working right also.

It uses the FB31N20d's For the outputs But the amp has no driverboard and no fan..

The driver board is in the black box near the output filter inductors. It's not repairable and, the last time I checked, not available from the manufacturer.
