Default jl 500/1 and memphis 16-mc3004 amp problems.

So, I have red through the posts on any amp similar to these, but none seem to answer the symptoms my amps have except the jl. I Am puting it in here to have a question answered about the caps in it. The memphis pops fuses as soon as its powered up and remote is turned on. If power and ground are hooked up, its ok, just when amp is powered up. Last time i did it I had the back off it and put fuses in it and seen smoke. Pulled power and set it to the side. I circled what was smoking.

The JL comes on no problem, but playes very low. Every 2-3 min it seems to throw power to the subs for an instant. Checked all my settings when testing out the amps. Also have a 300/2 in my car now, so that eliminates my electrical in my car. Also tested outside my car, same problems.

As far as the memphis goes it appears you have shorted output transistors..

You should split the two amps into different threads.

Start a new thread for the JL.

The Memphis sounds like it simply has shorted output transistors.
