Memphis st1500

I got this amp last night. I tried to power it on before I layed down.
So I hook my power supply up to the amp sparks flew From the terminals. My power supply was not on. So I measured the DC voltage. Its holding 5 volts at the power terminal. I haven't broke it down,I'm at work now. Any thoughts?

Do they have a lot of Memphis amps in Memphis, TN? Sorry I could not resist.

You know the outputs, drivers boards, and power supply pieces are all potential failure points. Someone possibly thinking this amp is like a Memphis ST1000 may have over loaded it. The 1000 can handle twice the current (Half the ohms) of the 1500.

Yes there are more Memphis amps than any other amp here.almost everyone here has a old st
1000d. I've fix one every week or two. I've sold about 15 myself.in the last 6 months.
