Question about components IRF540/640

I'm trying to stock up on some parts I am running low with. I like ordering these parts usually from Arrow, but Arrow does not have perfectly the parts I need. Instead, they have the following:

Vishay brand IRF540
IR brand IRF640N

I know the N doesnt work well for Rockford amps in the 540 range, but what about the 640N for their power amps? What about the Vishay IRF540? Is it a perfect sub for the IR brand IRF540 (non-n)?

Vishay parts are as good as IR as far as I know. I can't answer the question about the 640N but it would likely depend on the amp it's being used in.

I've never had a problem with the 540A and I used to recommend it but it appears to have gone obsolete.
