Hi I'd like to learn more about matching transistor date codes? I have a punch 55.2 that I'm working on has a channel with shorted outputs and I have found some good ones (ST IRF540, HARRIS IRF540) if i purchase either one of these and use it for the output stage will they have any problems in the long run? I noticed both channels have matching date code outputs. would I have to replace both sides?

Only parallel transistors have to match. The 55.2 probably doesn't have any parallel outputs.

Ok it's just one n-channel and one p-channel per channel.
