Can anyone tell me what the idle current (from battery) is of a Hifonics XX-Colossus-II?
Mine draws roughly 4 amps which I suspect to be too high; correct? Wout Ram |

I don't have any experience with this amp but it's a very large amp and sometimes, large amps draw significantly more current than smaller amps. 4A would not be significant in my opinion.
Power it up and let it idle for 10-15 minutes. If no section of the heatsink heats up at idle, it's likely OK.
