i have this amp to repair for a friend. i finally found how to power it up.the the problem is the relays dont always engage and one channel is blown.

i cant find the model of it any where. its the 4ch amp. this is the mono block.

its faded off.and the name on the cover is faded also.

Does it look exactly like that from the top?

Does the board have anything printed on it that would indicate the model?

If you remove the outputs from the blown channel, do the relays engage?

i got the amp to power up and play for one channel. i was looking for these parts but they are not stocked or i have to buy in bulk. the transistors are in the output driver section of the amp.. 2SC2631-2sC2235

The following is supposed to be a cross for the 2235. It may be a suitable replacement for both.

The pin configuration is wrong. Legs 2 and 3 must be swapped. Make sure that the legs aren't touching.

This should be OK for testing to determine if the amp has other problems. The original transistor (2236) is a 1w transistor so the A42 may overheat and fail prematurely.

i got the original part. now i have the amp back together and it plays fine for about fine minutes. then it stops playing. the amp stays on but the relays clicks. the bias has been moved from the previous repair. this is the back of the board. for the bias.

If you look at the waveform on the output transistor (leg 3), do you have a clean signal there after the relay clicks?
