This amp has 4 diodes that tie rca gnd to earth. Two in series each way, they are marked p48 or something like that. Two of the 4 are cooked, any chance a 1n4004 would work here?

If the two that failed are connected in a way that allows current to flow into the RCA shields, you should leave them out. If the amp has a loose or intermittent ground connection, the amp will try to ground through the RCA shields.
