when u use diode check to check transistors across the emitter and the base if it show a reading its leaking right?

There should be no change in the meter's display with the probes orientated one way and should read ~0.6v when the probes are reversed.

is there a good sub for c3503 transistor?

Mouser has the original. The KSC3503 appears to be a direct replacement.
