Hello everyone. Kinda stumped on this 100ix.

Issues include no sound from right channel or left channel at low volume. Upon increasing volume the left channel gets sound but is extremely distorted and cutting in and out.

R157 is getting extremely hot and almost desoldering itself.

The amp is producing rail voltage of +32vdc/-32vdc

The regulators are producing +/- voltage

All of the op-amps have +/- supply voltage

There is no DC present on the bridging terminals

The amp will bias fine both channels

The amp idles fine with no current draw

I believe both channels to be oscillating but not 100%

LM339 reads as follows:

Pin1 : 4.76 vdc
Pin2 : 4.77 vdc
Pin3 : 14.04 vdc
Pin4 : 1.809 vdc
Pin5 : 2.558 vdc
Pin6 : 4.36 vdc
Pin7 : 5.00 vdc
Pin8 : 3.300 vdc
Pin9 : 2.933 vdc
Pin10: 4.99 vdc
Pin11: 8.21 vdc
Pin12: 0.001 vdc
Pin13: 4.76 vdc
Pin14: 0.101 vdc

The TL594C reads as follows:

Pin1 : 1.285 vdc
Pin2 : 2.300 vdc and amp squeels while touching probe to this pin
Pin3 : 3.546 vdc
Pin4 : 0.005 vdc
Pin6 : 3.470 vdc
Pin7 : 0.001 vdc
Pin8 : 14.03 vdc
Pin9 : 0.290 vdc
Pin10: 0.296 vdc
Pin11: 14.03 vdc
Pin12: 14.03 vdc
Pin13: 3.61 vdc
Pin14: 4.99 vdc
Pin15: 4.99 vdc
Pin16: 0.001 vdc

Hoping someone can give me some direction on this amp.

The board number is PC-0695-C

I have included a pic of the board.

This amp is acting crazy.

When playing a 100HZ test tone to view signal the left channel has no sound but the right channel does.

The signal at C209 looks perfect and clips as it should.

The signal at C109 is considerably weaker and needs much more volume but will not clip even at full volume.

The scope settings are 5v/2ms

This is strange.

U201 pins 1 and 7 have good clean matching signal and clip about 2 div above and below the base line.

U101 pin 1 looks and clips the same as pins 1 and 7 of u201.

U101 pin 7 seems to have less signal and clips only 1 div above and below base line.

U7 pin 1 same as pins 1 and 7 of U201.

U7 pin 7 has seems to have less signal about 1 div above and below baseline but does not clip even at full volume.

The left channel has intermittant audio and is a clean signal on the scope when it does at the bridging treminal.

The right channel has signal at the bridging terminal but the signal only goes above the base line and the output is considerably higher when listened to through a speaker.

Am I explaining this right or am I just confusing things? This amp is acting very strange.

The positive terminals on C103 and C203 are identical clean signal and both clip about 2 div above and below baseline.

The negative terminal on C203 is clean and clips 2 div above and below baseline but the clip is a little crooked.

The negative terminal on C103 is clean but less of a signal and clips about 1/2 a division above and below baseline.

Changed C103 and U101 just to be safe.

U101, U201, U7 all have matching clean signals now that match in amplitude and clip evenly.

Signal is still clean and matching in amplitude and clipping evenly at C109 and C209.

Amp still has same performance, intermittant audio on left channel and extremely distorted audio on right channel.

Where could I check next?

The right channel has audio all the time just very distorted and only deflects above the baseline.

The left channel has good signal through the input sections we tested but none at the terminal.

If you leave the amp plugged in for 10 min or so the left channel will finally output a clean signal to the terminal.

If you turn the amp off then back on the left channel loses the signal at the terminal until it has been on for 10 min or so.

I dont get it.
