SEALED OR PORTED?!

Got a Hifonics 4000 watt HIF2000D class d mono amplifier. Gonna be buying two PIONEER TS-W3002D4 12" (3,500 watt per sub)

I've always went for enclosed boxes for more dynamic bass but I'm trying to go for that "make the persons car next to yours windows rattle" bass.

My trunk space is very small.. I'm running it in a 1995 buick skylark. It's a very small spaced trunk...so I'm wondering if I should do a ported or enclosed box for these subs

I dont know those woofers but the same box ported will always give you higher SPL , and that´s what you want not precision/dynamics

I love ported. You can hear the sub better with less power, IMO.

i dont , but for the OP request (higher SPL) it´s the best.

another option , more expensive , is to use a passive radiator same size as the driver, avoiding port noise and box ressonance but still getting high spl

A friend of my has 2 d3s powered by a sony 1000watt amp and its in an enclosed box.n I can hear him like streets down.

Why don't you check the Pioneer weebsite they have there the recommended box dimensions (sealed and vented)
Nominal power from this sub is 1000W and not 3500W.
