I have a resistor The color bands appear to be purple, black, red, gold, red
According to the color bands it appears to be a 7K ohm resistor.. If i measure it out of circuit it measures 9.95K ohms Wondering is this a 1k 7k or 10k resistor ?? |

That color code has nothing in common with the measured resistance. Using Electronics Assistant the value for that code is 70.2 ohms, 2% tolerance.
