I got another 1 of theese in for repair.. This board is the REV E
As soon as i connect a speaker to the left channel the amp draws 20 amps of cirrent.. Any ideas?? |

Is the bias all the way up? That might do it.

Bias pot is fully counter-clockwise

That not good back it down and talk to perry on the howto set the bias.

I know how to set the bias in theese,, Its fully counter clockwise (all the way down) and it still does it thats why im asking what should i look for,

Is there DC voltage on the speaker terminals of the left channel?

Yes 28 volts is on the output for the left channel but outputs test good
|

That's why it's drawing 20 amps when you connect the speaker.
What have you done to the amp up to this point?

Replaced D3 (1n4003) and fixed the broken trace that goes to the diode is all ive done..
