Default Distortion in my Quarts?

So i have recently run into a dillemma in my car, which i would have diagnosted as a cooked speaker, but other pieces of the puzzle dont say it is.

Yesterday my MB Quart on my passengar side started to make almost a buzzing sound when played only at high levels, towards what mostly seems as lower end frequencies.

I'm running an Alpine CDA-9853, to an XEC-1000, to 2 sony XM-5046's biamped to a pair of MB Quart seperates. I wish i could give you a model number, but i cant remember, i have a set of QM 160 KX speakers, which the basket and everything is the same, except 5 1/4s and seperates, with my assumption of nicer tweeters? I believe its all the same generation, My father says it was a $700 pair of Quarts?

Im not noticing any funny noises from anything except the right channel, My sub is a D310d4 powered by an MS-275 and I'm not hearing anything odd, anywhere. It seems like only during Deep toned voices does it seem to buzz.

I just read in one of the pass labs threads another man is having a very similar issue, and someone suggested a bad capacitor in the crossover, Could i have something like that happening? or could i have another issue?

Did you try swapping...

the speaker wires on the amp to see if the problem changed sides?

the speakers from one side to the other to see if the problem followed the speaker?

the crossovers from one side to the other to see if the problem followed the crossover?

Well since i wasnt able to investigate on the Fly when i first discovered the issue, I drove down to an empty parking lot today, and took the grilles off the speakers to get a look at them, and discovered the cone is trying to tear around the voice coil!

I called Jamac, (a local speaker repair company) and they said that i can bring it in tomorrow, and he can try to shim it and glue the cone back together, but said if it doesnt work he cant get the stuff to Re-cone it!
