whats a good replacement for the rfg70n06.all the places i looked said its discontinued.

It may depend on the amp and the drive circuit in the amp. What amp is it?

According to Digi-Key, it's not discontinued, it's just not a stocked part. You'd probably have to order a quantity of them. But the bottom of their page shows several substitutions, eg the IRFP048PBF is a thru-hole Vishay/Siliconix N-CH 60V 70A MOSFET.

Hey there. I worked on one of these a while back but unfortunately I dont specifically remember what fets were in it. Just a precaution; make sure you clear any metal flake off the heat sync and insulators before you put it back together. Mine had so much that it created shorts of the fets to the sync, right through the insulator.

where can i get insulators from?the ones on here are very bad.
