Trouble shooting my amp

I have an amplifier that switches between on and off. Its not the connections to the amp because I hooked up another amp and it worked fine. I'm guessing its a faulty transistor. I want to check the transistors but don't know how to remove the metal flaps protecting the transistor. How do I remove these?

Alright I think I might have figured out what was wrong. The four transistors D11-D14 that are labeled MOSPEC u16c20c have legs 1 and 3 shorted. I actually have two amps that won't power up and I just checked both of them and all the transistors labeled D11-D14 on both amps legs 1 and 3 are shorted. Are these transistors suppose to be like this?


Edit: After looking up the part number the datasheets say it is a super fast diode used for power supply switching. If these are just diode why does it have three legs? Or is this why the multimeter is reading a short because two of the legs are connected.

They're dual diodes. If you look up their datasheet, it will show their internal schematic diagram.

The outer legs appear shorted on common anode and common cathode, dual rectifiers because the outer legs are connected by the secondary windings of the power transformer.
