This crosover came in with Q9 0pen(b1248) and C49 pop.I replace Q9 with a733 for test.I am not getting no output from this crossover. The input is connected to IC 1 which looks like a lil driver board. It is painted all in black i can't tell what sm parts it has.Am only geting +9v on the opamps(c4570ha).should it have -9v to? if any one has a service manual please send it to me Ranks33@hotmail.com

I don't have the manual but many of the Pioneer crossovers work from a 9v supply and have no negative voltage.

The input modules commonly failed on the older crossovers and equalizers but I don't know if that's common for this model. Do you have signal coming out of the module?

The module is required to prevent ground loops. If you bypass it, you will need to use a ground loop isolator at the input of the crossover to prevent having engine noise. If you use the isolator, connect the shield of the input to the chassis of the crossover and the center conductors of each channel to the output pads for the module (remove module).

The owener was using this crossover in his home on a 12v 7amp power supply.I came up with a lil idea but am not sure if it is safe? Are there any small circuit i can build that will be smaller than the ground loop isolator ?Here is what i did. 25v 10 uf caps on the output pins of the module. The module is still in there.I am geting audio out and all function seems to be working.

Power it from a DC power supply with an isolated ground (most wall-warts) and you shouldn't need the GLI.
