Soundstream Reference 405

I sold this amp to a friend he ran it for awhile then sold it back to me.

When i hook it up it plays But there is a couple of issues with it..

First issue is if i try to adjust the gain on the mono channels i gotta leave it all the way down. If i try to turn it up any the subs start fluttering back and fourth and start making a poping sound..

Second issue is I get engine noise like crazy and when i turn the truck off and just turn the key foward I get nosie and hiss like crazy and can also hear the cd spinning thru the speakers..

Any ideas??

Check the shield ground on the head unit.

From rca shield to the ground wire of head unit??

RCA Shield Repair

Ok From Rca shield To case I get 9.93K so im assuming the rca shild is defective..

Its An Alpine IVA-D310 with the hideaway brain unit..

What do i look for once i open this up a resistor didoe ect... ??

Likely a burned trace.
