Does the gate drive signal in the power supply look different in these amplifiers than in most others? Should I still be seeing a square wave or is there something different going on here. I have one of each here and the amps both power on without drawing excessive current and it looks like I have solid rail voltage but the gate drive waveform is a sawtooth pattern. Is this right or do I maybe have my settings skewed on my scope.

It should be square. Check the signal on the output pins of the SG3524 and at the output pins of the driver IC to see if they look the same.
