I got one of theese amps for free from a friend.
This amp is in rough shape And im trying to rebuild it and make it work again.. My question is first off there are 2 pots missing .. The post are for the gains ( Level A & Level B) The board locations are VR1 and VR2 Anyone know the value of theese pots? |

I have no information on the olympus but the series 7 Zeus had 20k pots (see attached). If someone removed the pots, it's almost certain that they stripped the vias when they did. Be prepared to make connections directly to the legs for any traces on the top of the board.
Check with ZED to see if they can supply replacement pots.

just checked one of my VII Olympuses and they have the same pots as above, I thought it said 820k to be honest but think they might have said B20k on reflection! mine were very dirty on one of them and all I did was put some electrical cleaner in the inspection hole (very convenient!) and turned them several times and then all was well again
I suspect the same happened to this one but the owner removed them instead when a few drops of cleaner might have done the trick.. |
