Default Used Arc or Rockford amp?

I'm looking at 2 used amps from a friend, priced the same: a 5 yr old Arc Audio fd4100 or a 6 mo. old Rockford Fosgate P400.4. Both are rated at 50 x 4 (4 ohm, 2 ohm stable (if needed) and have similar MSRPs. The Arc is nearly twice the size and was used fairly hard for 5 yrs (the Rockford is nearly brand new). I know the Arc is a great amp, but know little about Rockford's line. Which is better given the age?

Dont know much about arc audio but I do know Rockfords new line of amps are very solid and have amazing sound quality. I think you would be very happy with the Rockfrod amp especially if its new, an amp run hard for 5 years may have some stressed components.

I am not knocking the arc audio because I know nothing about them, but the Rockford is very efficient and small in size with good output as far as sound quality and power. That would be my choice................

I don't know much about Arc either, but Rockford has always made good solid amps. I'm not so big on Rockford's speakers anymore, but their amps I would still say are good, very strong amps.

I believe this ARC Audio FD-4100 (fd4100) Foose Designs FD 4100 4-Channel particular arc amp is from the korean or chinese made version. I could be wrong, but it looks like the stuff coming out of korea not there old stuff when Robert Zeff of (Zapco) worked there and it was made in Germany. I'd take the Rockford all day.
