Default eclipse 32430 Amp repair

I am currently working on an Eclipse Amplifier model 32430. I replaced the power supply fets with new since some were missing.

In the heatsink the amp will not power up but out of the heatsink it will with no input connected. I see that one of the aluminum strips the power supply fets mount to is used to tie the rca shields to ground...I think... If this strip is grounded or an rca connected the amp shuts down.

If I measure from GND terminal to the shield ground I have -15.7VDC but if I measure from center tap on secondary side of transformer I see 00.0VDC.This amp appears to have dual power supplies and I cannot determine what kind of protection circuitry this amp uses.

Does anyone have any insight on these amps? The amp appears to be the same as a PA5422 Eclipse but the 32420 has pre outs and the 5422 does not. Thanks for looking and any thought given.

With no RCAs plugged in, What is the DC voltage on the power supply pins of the op-amps?

using center tap of secondary as ground all op amps read:
V+15.6
V-15.6

Using the same ground, do you still have -15v on the shields?

OK. So there is -15v with the black probe on the amp ground and the red probe on the secondary CT?

Is there any DC on any of the metal plates that the transistors are clamped to?

If so, does grounding it shut down the amp?

Yes -15.6VDC on secondary center tap of each power supply.

There is -15.6VDC on the plate the transistors are clamped to on the side nearest to the RCA's if black probe on ground terminal and red on plate. there is 0.00VDC if measuring from CT to metal plate. None of the transistors have continuity to the plate.

Yes the amp shuts down if it is grounded.

The problem is possibly a defective protection circuit transistor.

For each channel, do you find that there are several SMD transistors (maybe marked BR) that have their collectors directly connected and that those same transistors have their collectors connected to their counterparts in the other channels?

I will have to look closer tonight but this amp is nearly identical to the pa5422 pics you have on the bcae DVD I have.
