i have this amp i rebuilt the powers supply.new gate resistors drive transistors.but every time i put a fet in the power supply it goes into protect. it has 3.40 on the gate and a good signal.what could i be missing?

Does it go into protect if you remove the rectifiers?

ok now it does go into protect when i put the rectifiers in .

To clarify... Does it always go into protect mode (with and without the rectifiers)?

Does it remain in protect mode if you leave the amp powered up?

yes.it goes into protect with the rectifiers. with out them in it power up fine.

Post a photo of the board so I can see exactly which amp this is.

I would suspect the two transistors in the rectangle in the attached photo. They are MMBTA42s.

I'm assuming that you've carefully checked all of the output transistors.
