Default Soundstream USA 204

When i apply power to this amp it acts like its dead for 5- 10 secs then it draws excessive currnt. So the current draws isnt instant it takes 5 to 10 secs before it will draw. Any Ideas?

Have you checked the rectifiers and the output transistors?

Are the TIP102's a good replacment for the TIP101's?

I've found TIP102/107 to be good replacement for TIP101/106 in these type of soundstream amps. The 102/107s are rated for higher maximum voltage so they work in more situations.
